Driving Range

Course Care

Divots

  1. Remove any loose turf from the affected area.
  2. Knock in all sides of the edge of the divot with your club or your shoe.

Ball Marks

  1. Always start at the back of the mark and push forward with the repairer.
  2. Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf toward the centre of the mark. Do not lift the soil upwards.
  3. Lightly tap down with putter.

Handling the Flag

  1. Don’t drop the flagstick on the putting surface as it will cause damage.
  2. Always lower the flagstick by club or by hand.
  3. Avoid damage to surrounds by placing the stick in the centre of the cup.

Removing Ball

  1. Players are requested NOT to use their putter to remove their golf ball from the hole.

Carts

  • Maximum of two carts per group

Golf Etiquette

  1. No one should move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or hole, when a player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.
  2. Ready golf is encouraged at all times especially at the tees.
  3. No player shall play until players ahead are out of range.
  4. In the interest of all, players should play without delay. Having lost a ball, call the following group through immediately.
  5. Before leaving a bunker, players should carefully rake out all footprints.
  6. All divot marks and all ball marks on the green should be repaired.
  7. Avoid as much as possible standing on or walking near the hole.
  8. When the results of the hole have been determined players should leave the putting surface immediately. Mark cards on next tee as others are preparing to play.
  9. Players must not play practice shots from mown fairways into any green not allocated for that purpose.
  10. Sand buckets must be used to fill divots. Your place in the field is immediately behind the group in front not just ahead of the ground behind

Stableford, Par and Match Play Rules

Competitors take strokes they receive at the allotted holes. Mark at each hole the number of strokes actually taken.
Hole done in net one over par – 1 point.
Hole done in net par – 2 points.
Hole done in net one under par – 3 points.
Hole done in net two under par – 4 points.
Hole done in net three under par – 5 points. The competitors with the highest number of points is the winner.

Stableford, Par, and Four-Ball vs Par are played with full handicaps.
Match Play is played with the full difference in stroke handicap of the two players using the International Index on the back of the card.
Match Play index is on the scorecards.
Players with club handicaps may play in field and are eligible for minor club events. Cards from Match Play competition will not be accepted for handicap purposes.
Block Entry covers GNSW rounds, Veterans, Rudd Allen.

Priority On The Course

In the absence of special rules:
– Two ball matches have precedence over and be entitled to pass any three or four ball match Competition players have right of way
– Any match playing a whole round is entitled to pass a march playing a shorter round.
– If a match fails to keep its place in the course, and loses MORE than one clear hole on the players in front, it must allow the match following to pass.
– Social players have no priority on the course

Handicapping
Members are requested to return cards regularly for handicapping purposes. Members must swipe their golf link cards before each competition round.

New Members
It is the responsibility of all new members to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations of the club including dress regulations.

Visitors
Visitors are eligible to compete in events on competition days excepting board events, major events including Club Championships, foursome Championships, Monthly medals.

Visitors must pay nominated green fees as well as competition fees.

Dress Regulations
Members and Visitors are required to be neatly attired, cleanly dressed and correctly arrived at all times particularly in warmer weather.

Complaints
All complaints shall be made in writing to the Secretary/Manager of the club, who shall submit the same to the board. No employee of the club shall be directly reprimanded by an individual member.

Ladies Competition Days

  1. Putting and NTP’s on stroke days, NTP’s on Stableford days.
  2. When there are forty-nine players or less there will only be two grades. If there are 30 players or less on Thursdays there will only be one division
  3. Players are requested to report to the starter at least 15 minutes before their starting time.
  4. Point scores are taken on all single stroke rounds (Par and Stableford) over the competition from March to September
  5. VISITORS are eligible to compete on competition days excepting major events and medals. They must produce their Golf Link Number on request. Visitors must pay nominated green fees.
  6. The lowest handicap player in each group is responsible for the observance of the rules and etiquette of the game.
  7. Thursday Eclectic is taken on single stroke rounds.

Country Interstate Member

– Must have permanent residence greater than 60kms from Deniliquin.
– Access to play in any golfing competition.
– No voting rights.
– Not able to win any honourboard events.
– Affiliation and handicap can be maintained by Deniliquin Golf Club under this membership category.
– Same social round fees as Full Golfing Members (9 holes – $4; 18 holes – $5).

Recreational Member

– Only for persons who reside in Deniliquin.
– Not eligible to play in competitions.
– No voting rights.
– Same social round fees as Full Golfing Members (9 holes – $4; 18 holes – $5).

Cadet Member

– Must be within the age bracket (18 – 21).
– Access to play in any golfing competitions.
– Voting rights.
– Must be at University or under an Apprenticeship.
– Same social round fees as Full Golfing Members (9 holes – $4; 18 holes – $5).

Junior Member

– Must be under 18 years of age.
– No voting rights.
– Same social round fees as Full Golfing Members (9 holes – $4; 18 holes – $5).

Pro-rata Rates (New Members Only)

Membership fees begin from 1st October and end on 30th September each year.
Pro-rata rates are available from 1st January each year and are calculated monthly.

Sporting Affiliate Member

– 6 months membership in Club’s offseason
– No voting rights, No Handicap or Comp Entitlements
– Same social round fees as Full Golfing Members (9 holes – $4; 18 holes – $5).

MONTHLY PAYMENTS A monthly payment facility is available with your membership. Contact the club for details if you wish to use this option for your membership payment.
